Note: The terms of “grid” and “layout” are used a bit ambigious in Sketch. A grid, which you typically use on a website or app to align content, is actually called “layout”, while a “grid” is just a raster of evenly spaced vertical and horizontal lines for easier alignment. However, in this article I’d like to talk about Sketch’s “layout” option which I call “grid” in the following to use the proper term.
Today Bohemian Coding launched a new version of their glorious Sketch App. Sketch 3.0, this version introduce Symbols, faster exporting, shared Text and Layer Styles, and a revamped user interface.
Is really a huge improvement, kudos for the Bohemian Coding team !
The introductory price of the app only for this week is $49. Available on the Mac App Store.

We love Sketch. And sometimes, Sketch loves us back and adds a special flavor to everyday's routine with these funny moments.
Sketch is a graphics application for designers, lending itself very nicely to the world of web design. If you're new to it, you may not be aware of some of the tricks Sketch has, hidden under the surface. Today I'd like to run through some top tips to speed up your design workflow.
Anytime we can avoid using the mouse by utilizing shortcut keys is a good time. It’s one of the many habits that makes a good designer a great designer, and a darn efficient one at that.
Many requested that I write a tutorial on how to get started with Sketch so here it is. Sketch is the best alternative to Photoshop and is completely focused on user interface design. I must admit that the resources for Sketch are underwhelming right now and I am on a mission to fix that. Note: while it’s good to learn through analyzing (or even re-using) works of others, do it only so that you can start your own. Re-imagine based on the problems you’re trying to solve. Learn the techniques so that you can apply your very own design thinking.
